A former contestant on reality show "America's Next Top Model," Brandy Rusher was reportedly among four people injured in a shooting that took place in a Houston apartment complex. Two people died in the incident.
The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. on March 26, reports KHOU. According to police, before the shooting, upstairs and downstairs tenants of the complex were arguing.
After the argument, two men reportedly drove up to the complex in a white four-door vehicle. Two other men allegedly got out and began arguing with the individuals who would become the victims. Police say one of the men then took a semi-automatic assault rifle out of the trunk of the car.
"We do know it was an AR-style rifle, an AK type or an AR 15," Harris County Sheriff's Office Deputy Thomas Gilliland said. "Multiple rounds were fired, 15 to 18 rounds were fired at the group of individuals."

A deputy was on duty at the complex at the time of the shooting.
As of March 27, a search was still ongoing for the three suspects, according to TMZ. They are described as "heavy-set black men in their early 30s."
The sheriff's office said two people were killed and four were injured in the incident. Christopher Beatty, 32, was one of the men killed, along with another 31-year-old man who has not yet been named. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other died in the hospital, reports the Daily Mail.
In addition, four other people were injured: a 32-year-old woman, a 47-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl and a 28-year-old man. Officials said one of the women was shot in the lower leg. Three of the victims were from the same family, reports the Daily Mail.

TMZ confirmed the 32-year-old woman is Rusher, a finalist in season four of "America's Next Top Model." Like the others who were injured, Rusher is in critical condition in intensive care, as of March 27. All four are reportedly stable.
"Yes, they [Brandy and her brother Wayne] were involved in a shooting but we don't know anything about it," Rusher's grandfather said, according to E! News. "We would just like to keep the family in prayer."
According to residents of the area, this type of violence is commonplace at the apartment complex.
"I'm just frustrated at the fact that here it is again at Haverstock Apartments," Edward Buford, a senior pastor at a local church, told KHOU. "There needs to be more focus on places like this. There needs to be more money for ministries that are willing to be here Monday through Saturday and not just on Sunday."
