Alleged Ferguson Cop Warns Fellow Officers To 'Get A Gun' To Protect Themselves Once The Darren Wilson Verdict Comes In

An online forum set up for police officers in the St. Louis, Missouri, area featured a grave warning from one cop who claimed that people should buy a gun and be ready to defend themselves once the grand jury verdict in the Michael Brown/Darren Wilson case in Ferguson comes through, which could be any day now.

The grand jury is expected to make a decision as to whether they will criminally charge former Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown back in August, and many fear that if this decision comes back in favor of Wilson, all hell will break loose in the St. Louis area.

On the “St. Louis Cop Talk” forum, which appears to have been taken offline since reports of the post came to light Monday, a user under the name “A Concerned Cop” shared an ominous warning to his fellow officers that they will need to protect their families once the grand jury ruling is handed down.

“If you do not have a gun, get one and get one soon,” read the user’s post. “We will not be able to protect you or your family. It will be your responsibility to protect them. Our gutless commanders and politicians have neutered us. I’m serious, get a gun, get more than one, and keep one with you at all times.”

Other posts on the forum seemed to say the same thing, with some users reportedly calling activists and protesters on the side of Michael Brown “terrorists.” One person even suggested that the cops request water hoses from fire departments to use as protection from potential protesters and rioters.

Ahead of the grand jury’s decision, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has preemptively declared a state of emergency and has already authorized the state’s National Guard to take action along with local officers if the situation gets out of hand.
