Abbott Griffin allegedly hit a gas station clerk in the head with a Bible numerous times and demanded cash last Wednesday night in Toledo, Ohio.

When the clerk didn't produce enough money, Griffin reportedly threatened the clerk with something in his left hand that could put the clerk “on the floor,” noted the Associated Press.

When police arrested Griffin at the gas station, two folding knives were found on the 57-year-old alleged robber.

Griffin was charged with aggravated robbery and arraigned in court on Friday. A judge set Griffin’s bail at $50,000.
