A Florida woman arrested for allegedly stabbing her 6-year-old grandson to death told police she was “fed up.”

Martha White, 63, is accused of stabbing Mason Rhinehart in the chest while she was babysitting him at her Lakes Plantation home on Tuesday.

She allegedly walked into the living room where Mason and his 8-year-old brother were playing video games and announced that she had a surprise. She took Mason into the bathroom and locked the door behind them. She allegedly stabbed him multiple times.

"I don't want to die, please don't kill me," the boy’s older brother says he heard Mason scream in horror.

He tried to break into the bathroom but couldn’t get inside. He then called his father and hid from White.

The boy told police he saw his grandmother leave the property with a bottle of wine. She shouted that she "had a surprise for him too.”

Police found White in her car nearby. She was allegedly in possession of wine and Xanax.

"We are not clear on the motive at this point in time. That's one of the many things that the investigators are continuing to dig into," Leon County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. James McQuaig told the Tallahassee Democrat.

According to court documents, White told deputies that she was “fed up.”

She is being held at Leon County Jail.
