All schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District were closed on December 15 due to a “credible terror threat” received by police and school officials.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a bomb threat was called in to a school board member, though it is unclear when the threat was made.

LAPD Officer Kim told KTLA that the threat was serious enough to prompt officials to close all schools in the area.

Students and staff were advised to stay away from all campuses. LAPD officers are currently investigating the threat.
