Couple Arrested After Woman's Son Dies

| by Amanda Andrade-Rhoades

On Aug. 6, emergency workers responded to a call about an unconscious 3-year-old in Kingman, Arizona. He died later that day, after being flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Authorities believe the 3-year-old was in the care of 26-year-old Cory Williams, the boyfriend of the child’s mother, Tiffany Stotser. An autopsy revealed the child, who has not been identified, had suffered multiple skull fractures and blunt force head trauma, which led to his death.

Both Williams and Stotser were arrested on Oct. 29, when the final autopsy report was published. Williams is facing charges of manslaughter and child abuse charges and Stotser is facing felony child abuse charges, the Daily Miner reported.

The report also found that the child had suffered injuries, which had gone untreated, before his death. Kingman police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said the lack of medical attention for the injuries come from her "not wanting the Arizona Department of Child Safety involved."
