'Put Your Hands Down': Ferguson Car Sign Sparks Outrage

| by Charles Roberts

The decision by a Missouri grand jury not to indict Darren Wilson for the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown has polarized the nation. Wilson’s supporters adamantly believe that the former police officer used an appropriate amount of force to defend himself from a lethal threat; Brown’s supporters believe that he was murdered in cold blood.

Over the past week, Brown’s backers have been holding ‘hands up’ demonstrations across the United States – including at shopping malls on Black Friday and at Christmas tree lighting ceremonies over the weekend. Some have grown weary of these protests, and as noted by Mad World News, are beginning to outwardly display just how annoyed they are.

An image that went viral over the past 24 hours shows a driver with a sign on the back of his car reading: “FERGUSON! PUT YOUR HANDS DOWN & GO TO WORK!”

Despite some calling the sign "offensive" and "racist," the driver refuses to take it down regardless of how people perceive it.
