'Am I In The Right Theater?': 'Spongebob' Viewers Shocked When Movie Theater Accidentally Plays 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'

Parents and guardians in Loveland, Colorado, reportedly scrambled to get their young ones out of MetroLux 14 theater after they discovered the movie that began playing wasn't "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" -- it was "Fifty Shades of Grey."

The 11:45 a.m. showing was reportedly packed with children expecting to see the PG-rated cartoon, and obviously not the R-rated bondage film that is now the number one film in America, after having earned a record-breaking $90 million over its opening weekend.

"Some people were moving pretty fast to get the kids out of the theater," grandfather Joe Jaramillo told USA Today. "The family sitting behind me said what I was thinking, 'Am I in the right theater?'"

The film, based on E.L. James' best-selling book about the erotic relationship between a college student and a businessman, reportedly only played for a few minutes when the screen went blank and then cut to children's movie trailers.

Metropolitan Theatres President David Corwin reportedly refused to provide a comment to the Coloradoan about what had happened and simply said in an email, "There's no story here."
