Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton does not think the American people should choose "loose cannon" Donald Trump, the likely GOP nominee, for president (video below).
“I don’t think we can take a risk on a loose cannon like Donald Trump running our country,” Clinton said May 4 during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
Clinton backed up her statement with examples of Trump policies she finds to be bad for the American people, such as allowing other countries to build nuclear weapons programs and not increasing the federal minimum wage.
"I do think he is a loose cannon, and loose cannons tend to misfire,” Clinton said.
Trump, who refers to her as “Crooked Hillary Clinton,” is not shy about expressing his dislike for her publicly, as she does with him.
“Crooked Hillary Clinton, perhaps the most dishonest person to have ever run for the presidency, is also one of the all time great enablers!” Trump tweeted April 29.
In a Clinton vs Trump general election, an average of polls find she will win the presidency by 6.5 percent, according to Real Clear Politics.
Her rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, is also likely to be victorious against Trump, and by a higher margin, 13.4 percent.
