Cincinnati Christian School Teacher Quits After Nude Photo Found On 'Revenge Porn' Site

| by Khier Casino

A teacher who was suspended last week from a Christian school in Ohio after a nude photo of her surfaced on the Internet resigned Monday, school officials say.

A spokeswoman for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, which includes students grades K-12, said the unnamed female teacher quit after she was put on paid leave Dec. 2 after the photo appeared on a “revenge porn” site.

"This individual has decided to resign, effective immediately," wrote CHCA's Marketing Communications Director, Jennifer Murphy, in an email to The Cincinnati Enquirer.

"We respect this decision and are thankful for this teacher’s ministry while here at CHCA," she adds. "All faculty, staff, board members and parents have been formally notified. We continue to work together to ensure that we have minimal disruption here at the school, remaining focused on fulfilling the mission of CHCA and continuing to be a best in class educational institution."

Revenge porn sites allow hackers, ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends to post inappropriate photos, as well as personal information about them. The photos can then be forwarded to family, friends and colleagues.

The photo was posted to the website on Nov. 23. The woman also filed a police report on Nov. 24 that her iPhone 4S had been stolen.

"The woman is already a victim," the parent of a student at the private Christian university-preparatory school, who asked to remain anonymous, told WCPO. "But this being a Christian school, parents are upset that a teacher is even taking naked pictures and sending them to people -- and...her students are old enough to get online and Google their teacher's name and the photos come up."

A spokesperson for the school said no further information will be released "out of respect for her family's privacy and due to the sensitive nature of the circumstances."

The teacher’s husband told WCPO they aren't sure how the pictures made it online, but they have reached out to local authorities for help.
