Three children have been rescued from a home in Pennsylvania, where they were reportedly neglected and abused.
The children were found starving and covered in bruises, lice, urine, and feces. Parents Joshua Ross Weyant, 33, and Brandi Jene Weyant, 38, of Halifax Township, have been accused of neglecting the three children. The two have been charged with multiple counts of false imprisonment, aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, Daily Mail reports.
The sisters, 4 and 5, and their brother, 6, all reportedly weighed under 30 pounds when found by police. The children had bruises, abrasions, and scratches, which police reportedly attributed to their parents.
After they were found, a doctor said that two of the children were days away from starving to death. The children said that they had been starved for lengths of time by their parents.

"The victims were infested with lice so severe that the children screamed when the lice were physically removed from their bodies by medical personnel and investigators," said police.
The children were reportedly locked in a bedroom at night, and banged on the door if they needed to use the bathroom. They often had to urinate on the floor if no one came to let them out. Investigators said that the children "reeked of a strong odor similar to that of caged animals."
The room in which the children were kept also reportedly lacked heat and, when they were found, their body temperatures were just 94 degrees, rather than the normal 98.6.
The male child reportedly suffered a serious injury to his eye after being thrown across the floor by his father. One of the female children will require hospitalization until her body can process solid food, after her internal organs nearly collapsed from a lack of fat.

The children were not adequately fed, and reportedly had been starved since September, according to WPMT.
The children have been put into the custody of Children and Youth Services, while the parents are reportedly being held at Dauphin County Prison on a $1 million bail.
