A man recored a video (below) of a Chicago police officer apparently sleeping in his SUV on the Southwest Side of the city in broad daylight and posted it to Facebook.

Congress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?

“People get shot and killed at all the time. They just killed some shorty (young man) not too long ago,” the man recording the video said in the narration. “Took his f****** phone and f****** life right there. I guess that’s what this young guy right here is supposed to be doing.”

The Chicago Police Department said it is investigating the matter. Spokesman Martin Maloney said in a statement, “We are already aware of this video and this matter is under investigation, which may result in disciplinary action. From all appearances this incident is not in keeping with the high expectations placed on our officers by this department and the residents of Chicago — which is unacceptable.”
