The SUV plunged more than 60 feet onto the parking lot pavement below, killing McMath’s three passengers, Torneki McMath, 19, Myaa Moore, 13, and Tyreana McMath, 12, all of whom are related, although the details are not immediately clear.

Although all three of the victims survived the crash initially, they later died at Medical Center of Plano, The Dallas Morning News reported. “She was actually talking to investigators after dropping 63 feet,” Texas Department of Safety spokesman Lonny Haschel told the New York Daily News of the driver.

The family has set up an online fundraiser to cover the costs of their funerals, which had raised $1,400 by Jan. 18, short of the $15,000 goal.

The 28-year-old driver survived with minor injuries, WFAA reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but the Texas Department of Public Safety said McMath swerved across three lanes to avoid crashing into traffic ahead.
