A British man who went on Facebook and threatened to kill 200 people in the United States has been put in jail for 28 months. Reece Elliot was on an online memorial page for a girl from Tennessee who had been killed in a car crash when he made the threats.

Elliot, a self-confessed internet troll, was on a fake account when he wrote, "My father has three guns. I'm planning on killing him first and putting him in a dumpster. Then I'm taking the motor and I'm going in fast. I'm gonna kill hopefully at least 200 before I kill myself. So you want to tell the deputy: I'm on my way. I'm killing 200 people minimum at school. I will be on CNN."

He specifically targeted one 15-year-old girl whose identity cannot be reported because of her age, reported. She was told, "You have been chosen tomorrow at school to receive one of my bullets."

The threat was posted only weeks after the Sandy Hook school massacre in Newton, Conn., and schools in Warren County, Tenn., were closed down. Nearly 3,000 students missed school the day after the postings.

Elliott also went after Caitlin Talley, the girl who died in the road accident, saying "I'm glad the fat b---- is dead. Let's drink to go drink driving. No one gives a s--- that she's dead, get over it. If I was there now, I would rape you."
