Brie Larson Has No Memory Of Giving Casey Affleck Oscar

| by Sheena Vasani

Actress Brie Larson revealed on talk show "Live With Kelly" on March 9 that she does not recall handing Casey Affleck an award for Actor in a Leading Role at the Oscars on Feb. 26.

"I am grateful it was televised because I have no memory of it," the 27-year-old Larson said, reports the Daily Mail.

Larson, who won an award in 2016 for playing a sexual assault survivor in "Room," captured international attention when she did not applaud Affleck after presenting him his award.

Some speculate it was a response to civil suits filed against Affleck for sexual harassment in the workplace by producer Amanda White and cinematographer Magdalena Gorka in 2010, reports the Boston Globe.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

"On one occasion, Affleck instructed a crew member to take off his pants in order to show [White] his penis, even after [White] objected," said court documents.

"Affleck repeatedly referred to women as 'cows'; he discussed his sexual exploits and those of other celebrities that he allegedly witnessed; and asked [White] after learning her age, 'Isn't it about time you get pregnant,'" it added.

Later, White said Affleck "attempted to manipulate [her] into staying in a hotel room with him, and when she resisted he grabbed her in a hostile manner in an effort to intimidate her into complying."

Gorka also accused Affleck of inappropriate sexual comments, stating he had crawled into bed with her once while she was sleeping.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true:

"When she woke up, Affleck was curled up next to her in the bed wearing only his underwear and a t-shirt," read court documents. "He had his arm around her, was caressing her back, his face was within inches of her and his breath reeked of alcohol"

While both cases were settled out of court, many have remained distrustful of Affleck.

Larson previously hinted her response to Affleck onstage was intentional, but has never confirmed her actions were in response to Affleck's sexual harassment charges.

“I think that whatever it was that I did onstage kind of spoke for itself,” she said, Vanity Fair reports. “I’ve said all that I need to say about that topic.”

Her response on "Live With Kelly" reveals she is adamant on remaining vague about her reasons, keeping her replies as short as possible.

Meanwhile, Affleck has repeatedly insisted he was innocent of the sexual harassment charges filed against him.

"I believe that any kind of mistreatment of anyone for any reason is unacceptable and abhorrent, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect in the workplace and anywhere else," said Affleck.

"There's really nothing I can do about it," he later added. "Other than live my life the way I know I live it and to speak to what my own values are and how I try to live by them all the time."
