For one high school senior in Edmond, Oklahoma, Valentine's Day wasn't just a chance to express your love or admiration for a fellow student — it was an opportunity to do that for every girl in school.
"All the girls were surprised this morning," Edmond Memorial High School student Laura Pitcock said. They were surprised because one anonymous cupid sent all 1,076 girls in the school flowers, candy, cards or some sort of display of affection for the special holiday. "Remember there will always be people who care about you and I will always be one of them! Love, anonymous," one card read.
The young man wished to remain anonymous when his gifts were given out. "He wanted to stay anonymous, but I have a feeling a good deed like this is going to get out," said student Sarah Cameron.
It did. Student Dan Williams was later identified as the school's Romeo. "To know someone cares about them, that's the best feeling in the world I think." Williams reportedly worked all summer to raise money for his good deed.
"Even if it's just for a day, it really means a lot," recipient Molly Feigel said.
