Doctors have placed longtime bodybuilder Rich Piana in a medically induced coma after he was found unresponsive.
Authorities hospitalized Piana after receiving a phone call of a possible overdose at his Florida home on Aug. 7, reports TMZ.
While it's unclear what kind of condition he is currently in, his girlfriend assures fan he is alive.
"I just want to be clear [Piana] is STILL ALIVE," Chanel Jansen wrote on Instagram. "All myself and his family are asking for is POSITIVE thoughts, prayers, and love."

"Thank you to all of you staying positive and sending well wishes, prayers, and love," she added. "We appreciate it more than you will ever know."
Although it's unclear what caused Piana's medical emergency, some wonder if it was related to steroids.
"Seems sad to me that anyone would take such a destructive path knowing that it would/could end your life so young," wrote one Daily Mail reader. "I suppose it is simply another addiction gone wrong, like alcohol, food, gambling, drugs, daredevil stunts, etc.---too much and your life is at risk. Hope if he pulls through he can regain his health."

"My husband is a follower on YouTube," added another. "I told him a while ago, that he won't have a long life, even though he seems to be a good guy. But his body and recreational drugs will only handle so much. I wish him well and hoping for a speedy recovery."
"Cases like this I would bet are a body dysmorphic issue (like anorexia is on the other end of the spectrum)," commented a TMZ reader. "The person sees all these imagined imperfections and goes into dangerous territory to "fix it" when in reality everyone else can see they are very unhealthy & have a warped view of their own body."
In 2016, Piana admitted to spending thousands of dollars a month on anabolic steroids over the span of nearly three decades.
"If you want to become a professional bodybuilder, guess what?" he said in a YouTube video. "You're probably going to have to f**king do them, you're not going to have a choice. That's the boat I was in."
But it appears he regretted this decision and warned his fans to stay away from the drugs.
"If you have the choice to do steroids or stay natural, stay natural. There's no reason to do steroids, you're only hurting your body and hurting yourself," said Piana.
