Applebee’s waitress Brianna Priddy was working at the restaurant’s Lakewood, Co., location when she got something a little better than a tip - her driver’s license.
Brianna Priddy's wallet was stolen on Feb. 13 during a night out with her friends. Since it was taken, someone had been using her identity to write hundreds of dollars in bad checks. That person also apparently likes eating at Applebee’s.
A woman came in, ordered a drink and handed Priddy her stolen license as a form of identification. Priddy recognized the I.D. but she played it cool, reports The Huffington Post. "But I didn't say anything," she said. "I handed it back to her and said 'Sure, I'll be right back with your margarita.' [I] went straight to the phone, called the cops."
Officers came and quickly and arrested the 26-year-old suspect. The woman faces identity theft and criminal impersonation charges and was found with drugs in her possession. Her name has not been released because the case is still under investigation.
