Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, a Democrat from New York, has reportedly checked into a rehab clinic for sex addiction. Weiner is under investigation by the FBI for allegedly texting sexually explicit messages to a 15-year-old girl.
On Oct. 28, FBI Director James Comey thrust both Weiner and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's email scandal back into the national spot when he sent a letter to Congress informing it that new emails from an “unrelated” investigation may re-open the criminal investigation of Clinton.
Weiner’s wife is Huma Abedin, a close aide and confidant of Clinton. Weiner and Abedin separated in August following reports that Weiner had sent explicit photos to a woman while in the presence of their son, reports The Daily Beast.
In a recent interview with BuzzFeed News, the teenager, now 16, who is alleged to have texted with Weiner, voiced her anger and frustration with Comey.

“The last thing that I wanted was to have this become political propaganda,” the teen said.
“Your letter to Congress has now brought this whole matter back into the media spotlight,” the teen wrote in an open letter to Comey, published by BuzzFeed.
The teen went on to explain her issues with Comey:
I thought your job as FBI Director was to protect me. I thought if I cooperated with your investigation, my identity as a minor would be kept secret. That is no longer the case. My family and I are barraged by reporters’ phone calls and emails. I have been even been blamed in a newspaper for causing Donald Trump to now be leading in some polls and costing Hillary the election.

According to The Washington Post, Weiner already sought treatment in 2011, following initial reports of his explicit texting and subsequent resignation from Congress.
The facility Weiner will now seek treatment in “separates men and women and its program includes counseling for those addicted to cybersex and exhibitionism as well as addictions to anonymous sex and porn,” reports the Daily Mail.
