"Zander' the Husky Walks Two Miles to be at Owner's Side at Hospital

John Dolan was hospitalized with a skin condition last week at the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, about two miles away from his home in Bay Shore, New York.

Apparently, Dolan's husky 'Zander' missed him so much that he decided to pay him a visit at the hospital, reports

Zander apparently went under a parkway and across a busy four-lane road to get to the hospital. A hospital employee found the 7-year-old husky outside the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

Dolan and his wife believe that Zander traced John's scent to the hospital. A few days later Zander tried a second visit. He was found on his walk there.

The Dolans say that shelter dogs, such as Zander, can be fantastic pets and care for their owners.
