Video: Three-Legged Dog Steals Food From Store, Becomes Internet Hit

They say crime doesn't pay, but don't tell that to Oscar, a three-legged dog who has found fame after robbing a store (video below).

The German shorthaired pointer was caught on a New Zealand grocery store's security camera stealing a sausage and walking out, reports Examiner.com.

Oscar's owners were having another family watch him while they were out of town, but he escaped.

Store owner Esmay Hay said: "About 12 minutes past eight we caught him on the camera. All of a sudden he appears standing looking into the dog chiller, helps himself to a dog roll, drops it on the floor then picks it up and carts it out."

After a Facebook page was built about the canine bandit, hundreds of people offered to adopt Oscar, even though he has stolen from the store before.
