Video: Dog Rescues Puppy from Drowning as Owner Films

The owner of a golden retriever filmed the dog rescuing its puppy from drowning in a backyard pool in a video (below) that has amazed and disgusted viewers.

In the video, the mother jumps in the water to rescue her puppy, pushing her baby above water with her nose. At the edge of the pool, the mom grabs the puppy by its scruff and pulls it out, again, with no help from the owner/camera operator.

The video, whcih was uploaded to YouTube on April 4, got over 200,000 views, but has people calling the owner an animal abuser for filming instead of helping.
