Texas Dad Saves Son from Mountain Lion Attack

| by Mark Berman Opposing Views

A frightening scene at Big Bend National Park in Texas -- a family was walking on a sidewalk when a mountain lion came out of nowhere and attacked a little boy.

The animal had its powerful jaws locked onto six-year-old Rivers Hobbs's face when his father jumped into action to save his son. Jason Hobbs got out his pocket knife and stabbed the lion in the chest. It ran off.

Rivers needed 17 stitches to close the wounds on his face. He will also need rabies shots.
