The carcass of a strange sea creature was recently found by beachgoers on the Pukehina Beach in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand (video below).
According to GrindTV.com, the head of the deteriorated 30-foot corpse includes large teeth, causing some people to label the creature a "sea monster."
A YouTube video (below) includes text that states: “Can anyone identify what it is? It has a huge head and teeth with rudimentary flippers. It seems about 9 [meters] in length but the lower part of the body is probably mainly entrails from an attack.”

Marine mammal expert Anton van Helden told New Zealand’s Sun Live newspaper that the remains are most likely an Orca (killer whale) based on the fins.
Discovery.com reports: "The mystery was solved, but it’s not the first time an animal’s carcass has been mistaken for a monster. In fact, New Zealand is one of the most common places in the world — along with Newfoundland, Canada and Florida — for such 'sea monsters' to appear."
