A newborn pig in China born with two heads was saved by its owners from a slaughterhouse.

The piglet was born with two snouts, two ears and a shared eye in Jiujiang, in China’s eastern Jiangxi province.

Suffering from polycephaly, the animal requires a great deal of care. The veterinarian looking after the pig said survival will be a struggle for the animal.

The rare condition occurs when an embryo does not finish splitting into twins.

The first ever bull shark with two heads was recently discovered off the coast of Florida.
