Kenneth Ford is recovering after a vicious dog attack at a park in Myrtle Grove, where he was sitting with his dog.
Ford desperately wants the owner of a gray pit-bull that attacked him on April 24th to come forward. He fears his life is in danger, especially if the dog that bit him can't be found by early next week.
Ford has liver disease.
If the dog that bit him isn't tested for rabies by next Tuesday, April 29th, his doctor tells him he must undergo rabies treatment -- which, combined with his physical condition, could be fatal.
Ford and his dog were sitting under this awning at Meadow Brook park when two dogs got loose from their owner nearby and attacked. Kenneth was rushed immediately to the emergency room, WEAR-TV reports.
"This whole part of my hand is destroyed," he said.

The severe injuries have also hampered Ford's ability to teach and play the guitar -- something he's done for the last 45 years.
"My hand is torn to pieces, I don't know if I'll ever be able to play music again," he told reporters.
He added: "The dogs looked healthy, but without knowing this dog, as a precaution, I'm going to have to undergo these rabies shots."
Ford says the dog attack has him tossing and turning in his sleep.
He has contacted the Escambia County Sheriff's Office and animal control, but without knowing exactly who the person was with the dogs, "they can't cite him or do anything."
Ford's small dog was also attacked.
Sheri Eady, Ford's girlfriend, said, "He suffered a broken tail. He's in pain and stressed too."
Ford hopes his story sends a message to dog owners to be responsible and abide by leash laws.
More importantly, Ford needs the owner of the dog that attacked him to come forward and provide information about the dog. His life depends on it.
