Petition Started To Not Allow Melissa Bachman Back In South Africa After She Posted Photo Of Her With Lion She Killed In The Country

Hunting show presenter Melissa Bachman was thrilled to let everyone know about her kill of a lion, but her happiness over it was greeted with a lot of anger from many others.

The Telegraph reports that Bachman posted a photo on Facebook and Twitter of her holding a rifle and smiling beside the corpse of a male lion.

“Incredible day in South Africa,” the self-styled “hardcore huntress” said of her pursuits at the Maroi Conservancy, adding: “Stalked inside 60-yards on this beautiful male lion … what a hunt!”

The online reaction was so negative that Bachman reportedly deactivated her Facebook and Twitter pages within hours.

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

South Africans have begun a petition to ban Bachman from their country, according to The New York Daily News.

Cape Town resident Elan Burman launched a Change.org petition to get the "avid hunter" banned from ever returning to her country, demanding she no longer "be granted access" to South Africa's natural resources.

"She is an absolute contradiction to the culture of conservation this country prides itself on," Burman posted in the change.org petition.

As of early Saturday morning, the petition already had more than 12,000 supporters and some shared their displeasure with Bachman.

“You, lady, are what is wrong with the world,” said Richard Robinson, who was among the petition’s supporters, according to The Telegraph. “Take with no consequences. Shoot, kill, consume, destroy.

“You didn't kill a lion, you stood behind a machine and pulled a little trigger, you pathetic, sad excuse of a human.”
