People Outraged After Artist Gives Horse Tattoo (Photos)

| by Brendan Kelly

Many are outraged after a tattoo artist gave a white horse an airbrushed tattoo.

Benjamin Lloyd is a New Zealand-based tattoo artist who spends his free time giving sick children realistic airbrushed tattoos in order to raise their spirits, according to the Daily Mail. When he did the same to a horse, some were not happy about it.

"I love boosting a [horse's] confidence with a custom tattoo 50 likes and ill tat a lion up. (airbrushed on not permanent) Peace," Lloyd wrote in a post on social media.

Photos shared by the artist show a white horse with a large airbrushed skull tattoo on its side, going down to its front leg.

While some were impressed by the temporary tattoo, many commenters were not pleased and accused the artist of animal cruelty, according to Yahoo! Lifestyle.

"Yeah it is abuse that poor horse can't say don't do that so yes you or forcing that horse to do something that he doesn't want done to him," one follower commented.

"Why can you not leave a horse the Natural Way," another user wrote. "I do not understand why people think they need to do this to an animal rather it's airbrushed or not leave their coats alone.... Really!!"

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true:

"I CANT BELIEVE SOMEONE WOULD DO THIS TO A HORSE!!!! Are you kidding me do you really think this animal wants to be airbrushed???? No," another person commented.

Others were not bothered by Lloyd's tattoo on the animal and thought that some were overreacting to the incident.

"I'm waiting for the wannabe animal hippies to say it's wrong blah blah... but I'm aware Ben uses safe ink and I'm trained in animal handling, that horse is happy and content... but for the animal hippies it might be best to say to people and educate them about animal welfare and that this shouldn't be done by just anyone," a user wrote.

"Blahblahblah, all these people saying poor animal (that's abuse) but they are fine with someone riding a horse but putting paint on them isn't fine? People need to grow a pair. As a person that rides horses I find this awesome!" a Facebook user commented. "So stop with the negative comments, don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all."

Lloyd's post received a lot of attention, with more than 32,000 likes on Facebook and thousands of shares.

The artist has previously been noticed for giving sick children airbrushed tattoos in order to "boost their confidence."
