Man Finds Poisonous Snake in Toilet During Bathroom Break (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Willie Harris was taking a bathroom break at a Hueytown, Ala., Alabama construction office when he looked down and saw a four-foot long snake in the toilet.

"So when I was going to use the restroom, I see a snake around the commode and I'm thinking it was a joke," Harris told CNN (video below).

After the venomous cotton mouth snake moved, Harris knew it was for real.

"I pulled the door back a little bit and I said, 'Wow!" added Harris.

Harris' employer called 911, and Police Officer Alice Thompson and two male officers responded to the scene.

"He said, 'I don't think you understand how big this is.' I said 'OK.' He said 'I have a picture of it.' I said, 'Well, by all means, let us see,'" Officer Thompson told CNN. "It was so much bigger in person."

Officer Thompson used a couple of police batons to grab the snake.

"I was holding it actually on the corners of the mouth where the mouth was actually open at the time," Officer Thompson recalled. "Which for me that was actually the first time I'd ever seen fangs that were folded back in a snake."

Thompson carried the snake out of the bathroom, got into the back of a police car, which drove to an uninhabited area where she released the snake, noted
