Great Dane 'Zeus' is World's Tallest Dog at 7 Feet and 4 Inches

| by Michael Allen

A Great Dane who measures at 7 feet 4 inches, while standing on his hind legs, was named the tallest dog in the Guinness World Records 2013 book, published on Thursday, reports AFP.

'Zeus' of Otsego, Michigan eats a 30-pound bag of food every day and weighs 155 pounds.

The three-year-old Great Dane's owner Denise Doorlag told AFP: “The most common thing people ask is: ‘Is that a dog or a horse?' We had to get a van to be able to transport him, oh, and if he steps on your foot he leaves bruises!”

Zeus is just an inch taller than the previous record-holder, Giant George.
