Zeke’s a pretty cool cat in an emergency.
The three-year-old feline lives at the Sarasota Cat Depot in Florida where he’s taken to using the phone while his boss is out of the office.
Sarasota County dispatchers received a 911 call from the animal rescue center on Monday, while most of the center's employees were out to lunch.
When dispatch called back they got the front desk.

“Does someone there have an emergency?” the dispatcher asked.
“I don’t think so, but let me check,” the receptionist said.
When the receptionist went to Lynn Rasys’ office, she found her boss was out, but Zeke was in.
The tabby was lying across Rasys’ desk. The phone beside him was off the hook.
But this isn’t the first time Zeke has made a phone call.
“He has been known to press buttons on the phone before,” Rasys told WWSB. “He has hung up on my callers when I’m talking. He has pressed the numbers and dialed an outside line.”
Rasys says he’s just bored and looking for something to do.
Zeke is available for adoption for a $75 fee.
