A Texas family is upset after claiming that a contract worker beat their dogs with a pipe wrench at their home (video below).
The incident was captured on the family’s home surveillance video and later posted online, according to KHOU News. Homeowner Mike Willcox originally posted the video to Facebook on the morning of April 10, and it has since gone viral.
"Right in here where he got hit with the wrench, almost got his eye," Willcox told KHOU News, describing the injuries that one of his dogs, an 8-year-old Weimaraner, suffered. The second dog involved in the incident is also an 8-year-old Weimaraner
The results of the alleged beatings were a swollen jaw, concussion and at least $2,000 in vet bills. There is also a scheduled surgery in the future.

Willcox said his dogs have never bitten anyone and are very friendly.
"It was like the guy was winging to kill," Willcox said.
Willcox explained that a man claiming to be from CenterPoint Energy showed up unannounced in his backyard on March 23. In surveillance footage, the man can be seen hitting Willcox’s pet with a pipe wrench. Upon closer inspection, it’s possible to see one of the dogs' teeth fly out of its mouth during the beating.

Marina, Willcox’s wife, said the man wanted to work on the meter and turned down her offer to put the dogs inside the house. When she checked on the dogs, she found one bleeding. Willcox immediately rushed outside and demanded the man’s name before he left, but all the man would say was, "CenterPoint."
Now, Willcox has filed a complaint with CenterPoint. However, the family has yet to hear back.
CenterPoint did, however, send a statement to KHOU News on April 10:
We have determined that a CenterPoint Energy contractor was at this address on this date. CenterPoint Energy does not condone or tolerate abuse of animals by our employees or our contractors. We have notified the contract company and they have assured us that they will conduct a full investigation into the incident.
Willcox said he has since given a copy of the surveillance footage to the Houston Police Department, who he says will be investigating the incident.
