Sunbathers on a Rio de Janeiro beach staged a dramatic rescue of about 30 dolphins, which was caught on an amazing video (below) shot by a German tourist.
The beachgoers were enjoying themselves under the Brazilian sun, when the dolphins suddenly began beaching themselves.

The Daily Mail says some have speculated that the dolphins got caught in a current and were unable to swim to safety, although some marine mammals are known to commit suicide by beaching themselves, such as whales.
The video of the rescuers pulling the dolphins into deeper water by their tails, saving their lives, has received more the one million views on YouTube.
