Dog to Be Euthanized Because Owner Says It Is "Gay"
A dog in Tennessee may be euthanized Thursday because his owner believes he is "gay."
The dog was seen "hunched over" another male dog, and the owner took that as a sign that the dog was homosexual. The owner then dropped him off at a shelter.
But dogs are often seen "hunched over" or "humping" other dogs, regardless of gender, because it is a way of showing dominance.
The shelter, called Jackson Rabies Control in Jackson, Tennessee, said the dog will be euthanized by 1pm Thursday if he is not adopted as they have no room for him.
According to the shelter, he is in kennel 10L and can be adopted for $38. They believe he is an American bulldog mix.
Due to limited space, Jackson Rabies Control is often forced to euthanize many of its "owner surrenders."

How CLEVER. So, when gay men hump each other, it is not due to being gay, but because one of them is simply expressing dominance over the other. Is there a difference -- you know, between being gay & a male expressing such a sign of dominance over another male? Ah, maybe that's just "normal", just like getting poop all over one's pen*s is so normal, too. (sigh) -- WELL, I guess some gays still don't want to be outed: they just want to seem "dominant", instead.

Gays aren't using animals to justify anything. YOU made that association. Some dude thought his dog was gay because it humped another male dog. It did not have gay sex, it was demonstrating dominance. A common practice in animal society. Ask a zoologist. It has NOTHING to do with gay humans, or anyone trying to justify any human behavior at all. The guy thought his dog was gay because he mistakenly assigned human values, morals and mannerisms to an animal that does not share any of those qualities with people.
In my opinion, if a person
In my opinion, if a person knows nothing about dogs, does not care to learn about canine behavior, and does not understand the responsibilities of pet ownership he should NEVER get a pet. There are pet people & there non-pet people. Each group has difficulty understanding the "feeling" of the other, but as long as both groups obey the laws we can usually live side-by-side harmoniously. I'm very happy to read that this dog was saved. I pray he has found a loving home.
