Deer Breaks Into Yogurt Store (Video)

| by Michael Allen

A deer jumped through the front window of the Peachwave Yogurt Store in Holmdel, N.J., last month, causing a ruckus.

Surveillance cameras caught the deer sliding around, knocking over chairs and causing $5,000 worth of damage on Oct. 14 at around 10 p.m.

The yogurt store's owners, Alan Prachar and his daughter Jen Pracher, believe the deer might have seen his reflection in the window, notes

Alan posted a surveillance video (below) of the break-in, but unfortunately added the theme from "The Benny Hill Show" as a musical soundtrack.

While she was closing the store, Jen came face-to-face with the four-legged burglar.

"I just didn't expect it to come through here," Jen told NBC New York. "Luckily, I didn't think he was too hurt. Little cut, no limp."

"Both the lights were off in the store and I think perhaps he saw his reflection in the window," added Alan.

An employee from a nearby company helped shepherd the deer out a back door of the yogurt store.

Fortunately, the Pracher's business insurance will cover the deer's break-in.
