David Beckman Accused of Sexually Abusing a Peacock

David Beckman, 64, has been charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty for allegedly sexually abusing his pet peacock in Roselle, Illinois.

According to NBC Chicago, police were investigating Beckman about an alleged case of indecent solicitation of a child when they discovered Beckman's peacock "Phyl" had died.

Details of the alleged sexual abuse of the bird have not been made public because it's part of a case with the child, according to the Daily Herald.

Court records say that Beckman has been charged with a myriad of crimes, including: Harassment by telephone, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana possession, attempted indecent solicitation of a child, cruelty to animals and two counts of battery.

Beckman is being held in the DuPage County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
