Alleged Drunk Driver Chibuikem S. Onyebuchi Reportedly Couldn’t Figure Way Out Of Police Department Parking Lot

A Connecticut man was allegedly driving drunk and it appears he made it pretty easy for the police to charge him.

Chibuikem S. Onyebuchi was seen by Glastonbury police driving around the police department's rear parking lot about 5 a.m. Saturday. He then parked his car in front of the rear entrance to the building, police said, according to The Courant.

The 23-year-old Onyebuchi reportedly told the cops he was trying to find his way to a friend's house but could not figure the way out of the parking lot. Police then arrested him for drunken driving.

NBC Connecticut reports that the police department surveillance camera captured images of Onyebuchi driving around the back employee parking lot of the police department for several minutes just before he parked in front of the back entrance.

Onyebuchi was charged with operation of a motor vehicle under influence of alcohol or drugs and operation of a motor vehicle under a suspended license. Police said that Onyebuchi’s license was under suspension at the time because of two previous DUI arrests.

Onyebuchi bond was set at $25,000 and he is due in court on Dec. 16.

The news comes just days after a report that Vernon Gibson, a Pittsburgh police officer, was arrested for allegedly driving drunk to work. The 38-year-old Gibson was placed on administrative leave.
