A 25-year-old man suspected of being involved in the disappearances of several children in Chiconautla, Mexico, was held for three hours by an angry crowd of almost 1,000 people in an apparent lynch attempt. Federal police who swooped in to try and rescue the man had to use tear gas to disperse the angry mob, according to The Daily Mail.
The man was taken away from the scene in an ambulance. It is reported that he was tied up with a rope and beaten on before police intervened. (They attempted to lynch him.) His identity has not been revealed.
