DCFS Investigation On Brad Pitt Extended

| by Jonathan Constante

Brad Pitt's Department of Children and Family Services investigation has been extended.

The DCFS is now investigating new claims that Pitt verbally abused his children on several occasions, the Daily Mail reported.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services investigation began in September after allegations that Pitt physically abused one of his children, 15-year-old Maddox, while onboard a flight back home from France, reports the Daily Mail.

The Sept. 14 incident made national headlines and lead Angelina Jolie to file for divorce just five days later in a Los Angeles court.

Pitt has been subjected to several interviews in the past month, along with two voluntary drug tests. Both tests came back negative.

Jolie and Pitt agreed to a voluntary parenting plan. The plan included counseling and limited visitation through Oct. 20, People reported. That plan, along with the investigation, will continue.

A source told In Touch Weekly that the investigation “was not closed on schedule for a reason.”

“The DCFS investigation is now going to continue for at least several more weeks,” the source said. “Now DCFS is interviewing many people to determine if they are witnesses to any improper behavior by Brad, as well as searching for others who have knowledge of his actions.

“That includes nannies, household staff members and more. The fact that the investigation was extended is an indication of how serious this is.”

The extended probe means that all six of Jolie and Pitt’s children -- 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne -- will be interviewed again.

In her divorce filing, Jolie said she separated from Pitt the day after the alleged altercation between him and their son, Maddox, while on their private plane. The investigation was launched after an anonymous source reported the incident.
