A new viral video shows Robbie the border collie by the life-size bronze figure of British World War II codebreaker Alan Turing in Manchester, England, whimpering and bouncing around with excitement.
His new friend isn’t moving, but the pooch keeps trying to put a stick in the statue’s hand, hoping for a reaction.
Robbie’s owner, Jamie Goodwin, is heard laughing in the background as he films his pet running back and forth.
“Oh, I’ve go to save him,” he says at the end of the clip.
Goodwin adopted Robbie adopted from an animal shelter in the U.K. more than four years ago.
“I love him to bits but once you throw the stick for him he will NOT leave you alone!” said Goodwin, according to the Daily Mail. “He runs up to random strangers in the street with a stick - not a care in the world. I’ve never had a dog that loves the game of fetch so much before this one.”
The video below of Robbie trying to convince a sculpture to play with him has been viewed by more than 5 million people since it was first uploaded.
