A 16-year-old Italian teenager died after attempting to take a selfie on jagged rocks and falling 60 feet.
Isabella Fracchiolla was trying to take a picture of herself during a school trip in Taranto, Italy when she fell off the rocks. She suffered injuries to her femur, pelvis and head.
Though Fracchiolla was rushed to a hospital and underwent a major operation, doctors were unable to save her life.
Experts have warned of the increasing risks of taking selfies as people go out of their way to take impressive photos.

In April, a 17-year-old Russian girl fell 30 feet to her death after climbing onto a railway bridge and getting electrocuted. That same month, a 32-year-old woman in South Carolina posted a selfie as she drove, and died as she crashed into a truck.
Earlier this year, a 21-year-old man from Spain was killed from electric shock when he climbed on top of a train to take a selfie.
In one incident, one 16-year-old girl allegedly stabbed her best friend after the friend posted nude selfies of the girl on Facebook.
