A 13-year-old Wisconsin girl was pulled over by police Wednesday night after allegedly taking her mother’s car without permission and driving five other youths around while drunk.
The unidentified teenager was stopped in Manitowoc just before midnight after Officer Jason Erickson noticed a vehicle driving without headlights on, according to a news release from the Manitowoc Police Department.
Five other youngsters from Manitowoc and Two Rivers, all under 14 years old, were also in the vehicle.
The girl was arrested after failing the standard field sobriety tests and was charged with operating while impaired. She was eventually released to her mother, according to the Herald Times Reporter.
One of her pals had been reported as a runaway by his mother to the department earlier in the evening and he was also returned to her.
Police say one of the juvenile passengers was taken to the Sheboygan County juvenile detention center due to a pending court order, WISN 12 News reports.
