One of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s professional wrestlers, Triple H, is known for being the “world’s meanest,” but the tough guy revealed his soft side and consoled a crying fan during Monday night’s “WWE Raw.”
After announcing that everyone’s favorite wrestler, John Cena, would have to face three other fighters in the ring, Triple H, known offstage as Paul Michael Levesque, was approached by a little boy who was watching the fight ringside, according to IJReview.
The boy is a John Cena fan, and after watching his favorite wrestler take on Seth Rollins, The Big Show and Kane, he began to cry.
“Turns out kid was crying — either scared by Triple H looking at him or from what was going on with Cena,” Chris Olds, who attended the show in Dallas, told news.com.au.
That’s when Triple H broke character to console him. Stephanie McMahon, who is married to Triple H in real life and also known for playing a heel (a villain, in pro wrestling terms), broke character, too, to console the boy.

While there is no known video available of Triple H’s interaction with the young fan, Olds caught the touching moment on camera and posted photos on Twitter.

According to BuzzFeed, Triple H, who is the real life executive vice president of WWE, then gave the boy free merchandise and even took him backstage to meet the superstars.
"After the match, [ring announcer] Lilian Garcia congratulated him on Cena's win and they gave him a stack of shirts, wristbands, bandannas, a hat, which he brought back to his dad sitting in front of me,” Olds said.
