A Texas woman is suing a background check website after her husband used the site to figure out that she was cheating on him.
Mary Roberts from Dallas has filed a lawsuit against the background check site Persopo after she says the site provided her husband with "confidential" information about her. Mary's husband filed for divorce after using the site to discover she had been cheating on him.
Toward the end of their 13-year marriage, Mary was regularly leaving the house for long periods of the day and night. Her husband, Frank, became curious about what his wife might be up to and used Persopo to try to find some information.
The background check turned up results from social media sites and dating websites that revealed what Mary had been up to.

Now, Mary is suing the site for $700 because she says the information was confidential. The lawsuit does not dispute that the information was accurate, and she has not denied that she was having multiple affairs.
"We had been married 13 years and had our ups and downs but this seemed different," Frank told the Conservative Daily Post. "She never did stuff like this before. Leaving at all hours and never telling me where she is going."
He continued to explain what happened when he searched for his wife on Persopo.
"When I searched her name it came right up, she had accounts matching her name and email on Cheatingwives.com, Match.com and many others," he said. "I just couldn't believe this was the woman that I married."

Frank confronted Mary about his findings and she admitted to having affairs. She said that she slept with at least four men behind his back over the course of a year. Frank filed for divorce.
In Mary's lawsuit, she states that "Persopo.com ruined my life by revealing private information about me."
