A U.K. woman who stabbed her ex-husband until his intestines fell out has been cleared of all charges after claiming the act was in self defense.
Dalya Saeed, 35, told the court that her ex-husband, Bilal Miah, 31, was intent on killing her on Oct. 19, 2015, the Daily Mail reported. She had invited Miah over to discuss custody of their daughter.
Miah claimed the two had consensual sex, and then argued. He said they had sex again and that's when she suddenly stabbed him twice in the stomach.
But Saeed said the sex was not consensual, and that she was acting in self defense.

"I fully believed it was going to be my final night," she told the court. "I was just looking for something to cut. I stabbed him twice."
Saeed said she tried running away into a storage area, and that Miah attacked her with a wooden stick.
"I put my hand up in order to stop him and touched his body," she explained. "Then I saw a piece of intestine in my hand. I threw it on the floor and at that point I saw Bilal's intestines fall out."
Saeed followed Miah outside and continued to attack him with a wooden bat and meat cleaver, the court heard. She said she wanted to make sure he would not come back.

Neighbors heard Miah's screams and called police at around 3 a.m.
Miah spent 10 days in the hospital and was treated for 30 separate wounds.
“Suddenly in the blink of an eye, and I didn’t see the knife, she stabbed me twice in the belly,” he said. “I can only assume the knife came from either under the bed or the pocket of her dressing gown.
“My intestines were out, everything was out and she was grabbing hold of them, trying to pull them. She broke one of them and threw it onto the floor but I managed to put the rest of them back in my belly.”
"The cuts were so severe part of his small bowel ended up on the carpet," prosecutor Adam Western told the jury. "She caused his injuries. Her intention was nothing less than to kill him."
During cross-examination, Miah accepted that he was verbally and physically abusive toward Saeed. The jury also heard that both parties were at risk of being deported as illegal immigrants.
Miah and Saeed split up in 2013 after getting married and having a daughter together. Miah had remarried after their divorce.
Miah arrived in the U.K. in 2010 on a student visa, but dropped out of college. He was allowed to stay because he had a child with Saeed. Saeed was granted asylum in 2012.
