Video (below) of a Washington state man confronting a mother who left her baby in her car while she shopped at Target is going viral.
“You do not leave a baby in your car,” Jon Evans angrily tells the unidentified mother in the Target parking lot.
Evans shared a video of the confrontation on his Facebook page and told KHQ that he confronted the mother out of concern for the safety of the child.
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
“Your child could grab something and put it in their mouth, or anything could happen and you’re not going to be there,” Evans told KHQ. “It’s going to be bad.”
In the video, the mother tries to defend herself by telling Evans she only went in to “return one item,” to which Evans replied, “I don’t care, you don’t do that.”
Despite the mother’s actions, Spokane police told KHQ that what she did is not actually illegal. Police did say that it would only be illegal if she had been drinking in a bar or left the car running with a child under the age of 16 inside.
Evans' Jan. 20 Facebook video has since gone viral, garnering over 200,000 views and 6,000 shares in one day.
