Chick-Fil-A Restaurant Owner Goes Above And Beyond For Customer

A South Bend, Indiana, woman was reportedly stunned when the owner of her local Chick-Fil-A restaurant went above and beyond to make sure her order was correct. 

Shelby Dirrim posted about the incident on Facebook, with the post quickly going viral.

“Tonight I stopped at the Chick-Fil-A off of Michigan St. (South Bend) for a late dinner after a long day," she explained in the Jan. 19 Facebook post. "Because of my diet and health restrictions, I have to limit my gluten intake but thankfully, Chick-Fil-A has options I can have.

“So I ordered my usual grilled 8-count, but when I got home I was sad to see the nuggets in my bag were breaded in all the gluten I'm supposed to avoid.”

Not one to make a big deal out of situations like the one she found herself in, Dirrim decided to call the restaurant and let them know what happened.

“And no joke...THE OWNER OF CHICK-FIL-A drove ALL THE WAY to my apartment to bring me FRESH, grilled nuggets I could eat!!” she said.

“He made sure I could enjoy a hot meal without any hassle or worry, which is often difficult with my diet and schedule as an independent musician," she added. "I'm in awe that in this crazy world, there are still people that care about complete strangers even in the seemingly smallest of ways.”

Dirrim said she’s a “customer for life” thanks to the restaurant and its owner, Edward. 

The post quickly went viral, garnering over 10,700 likes and almost 880 shares in three days.
