Video Shows Dog Crying, Grieving His Deceased Brother (Video)

Seattle resident Brett Bennett captured a heartbreaking moment on camera that has garnered over two million views on YouTube.

Bennett’s dog, Hank, had reportedly been ill for some time and was seemingly starting to get better when he died suddenly on Jan. 20. Hank and his brother, Brutus, were inseparable, and Bennett’s video revealed just how devastated Brutus was to lose his sibling.

In the video, Brutus is shown resting his head on his deceased brother, looking at the camera with heartbroken eyes. Bennett, who adopted the pair from an animal rescue center in 2013, can be heard behind the camera crying while attempting to console the Rottweiler.

“Brutus has never whined or cried out in pain the two years I have had him…But clearly you can see in his eyes, he is crying for his brother who had passed as his world around him just crumbles,” Bennett said. “We both grieve and cry for our brother… This is proof that animals DO have emotions and feel pain just like we do.”
