The University of Washington has come under fire for a controversial "tryout look" infographic that gives college women tips on makeup, hair, clothes and body type to make the Husky cheerleading team.

The infographic poses a young, white woman with blonde hair and advises coeds to wear "bronze, beachy glow, false lashes, girl about town lipstick, flattering eye shadow," notes the The Seattle Times.

Although the cheerleading team includes men, male cheerleaders were not given tryout tips, according to ABC News.

The cheerleading team posted the infographic on its Facebook page on the evening of April 25, but it was removed on April 26 before 9 a.m.

The infographic was reposted on Facebook by Seattle resident Clay Thompson, who sarcastically noted: "Morning! If you're a natural tan / spray tan gal with straight or curly hair worn down, try out to become a UW Cheerleader!! Others need not apply."

University of Washington student Jazmine Perez, director of programming for the student government, Associated Students of the University of Washington, told The Seattle Times via email:

I can’t believe this is real. One of the first things that comes mind is objectification and idealization of Western beauty, which are values I would like to believe the University doesn’t want to perpetuate. As a student of color who looks nothing like the student in the poster, this feels very exclusive.

In a statement released by the ASUW, it claims the graphic "completely objectifies women and creates barriers that only perpetuates the inaccessibility of opportunities that should be open for every student on this campus," ABC News reports.

Carter Henderson, a spokesperson for the school's athletics department, said in a statement, "The graphic was removed immediately, after a UW athletic department official saw it and determined that some of the details and descriptions provided were inconsistent with the values of the UW spirit program and department of athletics."

The cheerleading teams at Washington State University and Louisiana State University have also posted photos and tryout tips
