UCLA gymnast Sophia DeJesus turned in a crowd-pleasing, high-scoring routine Feb. 6 during a meet against Utah (video below).
DeJesus worked popular dance moves into her floor routine, including the Whip and the Nae Nae, notes the Bleacher Report.
UCLA trailed for most of the competition, but got strong performances by DeJesus (9.925 score), and others, which helped the team take a close win.
“I just said to them ‘Do you want it? Well then you need to go get it,'" UCLA gymnastics coach Valorie Kondos Field told the Daily Bruin.
The student newspaper added that DeJesus ended her floor routine with “the dab,” which excited the crowd.
